Senior Robotics Consultant

Waverley is hiring a Senior Robotics Consultant to work on cutting-edge robotics and embedded systems projects. Deep ROS, C++, and systems integration experience required.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement real-time control algorithms for a robotic manipulator using ROS 2.
• Integrate sensors (e.g., cameras, LIDAR, encoders) for object tracking and environment perception
• Develop trajectory planning and motion control for high-speed, accurate interactions.
• Build robust communication between hardware components using ROS 2 nodes and topics.
• Optimize system performance to minimize latency and increase prediction/reaction speed.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience with ROS 2 (nav2, MoveIt 2, or similar).
• Strong proficiency in C++ and/or Python in robotics applications.
• Solid understanding of kinematics, dynamics, and control theory.
• Experience with robotic manipulators, servo/motor control, and real-time systems.
• Familiarity with computer vision (OpenCV, YOLO, or similar) is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
