WageWorks: Mobile Applications for HR Management
A leader in corporate HR solutions reached out to Waverley for our expertise in iPhone/Android development. While integrating with the client’s internal team, we created beautiful responsive mobile apps at the same time cutting on the overall development time.
was founded in 2000 and based in San Mateo, California, and is a leading on-demand provider of corporate spending account management programs, Flexible Spending Accounts, Health Savings Accounts, retirement solutions, and transit and parking programs for consumers and employees. As the provider to 50% of Fortune 100 companies WageWorks sets industry standards for service and innovation. With the growth of mobile phones in the corporate IT environment WageWorks decided in 2008 that it needed app development expertise to bring their services and existing desktop applications onto iPhone, Android and Blackberry/RIM devices. Waverley Software provided that expertise.
- augment WageWorks’ internal engineering capabilities during the firm’s transition from Web to mobile-based services.
- speed on WageWorks’ existing business and client-facing solutions in order to quickly and reliably enable the company presence in the mobile market.
- provide “instant” expertise in mobile app design and engineering, working closely with WageWorks’ internal development teams.
- recognize and meet the security requirements of WageWorks’ back-end systems, which handles the retiree benefits, health care accounts, commuter accounts, and other sensitive financial information.
Waverley Software had the knowledge and ability to quickly take WageWorks from Web only to mobile apps on all three major platforms…
Waverley integrated into WageWorks’ development process, utilizing WageWorks’ systems for source control and bug tracking. To enable a “seamless” integration with WageWorks’ internal development team, Waverley provided daily status reports for tracking user stories and associated Agile sprints, enabling work to continue through both “shifts” (Eastern European business day followed by US West Coast business day), thereby reducing development time. Waverley also used its knowledge of mobile technology and iOS UI conventions to advise WageWorks on the technical aspects of making successful submissions to the Apple App Store.
