QA Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress and Playwright for web applications.
• Design, implement, and execute functional, regression, performance, and integration tests.
• Identify, report, and track defects and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Collaborate with the development team to understand requirements and provide feedback from a quality assurance perspective.
• Perform exploratory testing and contribute to improving test coverage.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to streamline testing workflows.
• Troubleshoot test failures and provide root cause analysis for defects.
• Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data.
• Continuously explore new testing strategies, tools, and technologies to improve the quality assurance process.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in QA engineering with hands-on expertise in Cypress and/or Playwright for web application testing.
• Strong understanding of automated testing principles, test frameworks, and test methodologies.
• Experience with JavaScript (or TypeScript) and writing automation scripts.
• Strong skills with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and how they interact in modern web applications.
• Experience in both functional and non-functional testing (e.g., performance, load, security testing).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Skills

• Experience with Playwright or Cypress is a plus.
• Familiarity with mobile app testing platforms.
• Experience with test reporting and analysis tools.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
• Experience in performance testing
