We are seeking an exceptional Senior DevOps Engineer to architect and maintain critical infrastructure for a fast-growing B2B AI & SaaS company providing financial modeling and forecasting solutions for eCommerce brands. This role requires designing robust cloud infrastructure, implementing comprehensive observability systems, and building CI/CD pipelines that support rapid scaling while maintaining exceptional performance, reliability, and security. You will work with cutting-edge cloud technologies to build infrastructure that supports real-time financial analytics, data processing, and seamless customer experiences at enterprise scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement highly scalable cloud infrastructure and observability systems using GCP.
Build robust CI/CD pipelines and streamline code deployment procedures with established best practices.
Develop comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems utilizing OpenTelemetry concepts.
Perform security audits and implement security solutions across the infrastructure stack.
Conduct periodic cost audits and optimize infrastructure spending across cloud platforms and vendors.
Contribute to data warehouse architecture and core product development.
Build software to support ELT/ETL data processing capabilities and pipeline orchestration.
Collaborate with engineering teams to establish developer experience tooling and best practices.
Ensure system security, data integrity, and compliance across all financial data processing workflows.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
6+ years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer, SRE, or similar infrastructure-focused role.
Deep expertise with cloud architecture, particularly GCP (Google Cloud Platform).
2+ years implementing and maintaining observability systems, ideally utilizing OpenTelemetry concepts.
Strong experience with containerized applications using Docker and deployment orchestration.
Proven track record in monitoring and optimizing operational cost structures across cloud platforms.
Experience with SQL-based data warehouses (BigQuery or Snowflake) and large-scale ELT/ETL pipelines.
Proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python for infrastructure automation and tooling.
Experience with modern SDLC processes (e.g., Scrum/Agile) and the ability to contribute to customer-facing features.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong organizational and detail-oriented approach.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Experience with data aggregation platforms, such as Fivetran or Airbyte.
Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration tools like Airflow.
Experience with DBT for data transformations and pipeline management.
Knowledge of network security, tenancy management, and multi-vendor infrastructure optimization.
Experience working with AI tools and implementing AI-powered infrastructure features.
Understanding of financial data processing requirements and compliance considerations.
Experience in high-growth SaaS or eCommerce environments.
Ability to work directly with founders and executives in strategic infrastructure decisions.
