Senior Python Engineer (AI experience)

We are looking for a Senior Python Engineer with AI experience to join the customer’s AI/ML engineering team. You will play a central role in building and scaling the AI components that power customers’ intelligent construction supply chain platform—working on LLM-based agents, RAG pipelines, and large-scale document processing systems that directly impact how major infrastructure projects are delivered.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain Python-based AI/ML services, including RAG pipelines, LLM agents, and document processing workflows.
• Process and extract structured data from large, complex construction specification PDFs at scale.
• Collaborate with Go backend engineers as the platform migrates from a monolithic architecture to microservices.
• Integrate AI components with a Next.js/TypeScript frontend and AWS-based infrastructure.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of the client’s AI chat assistant.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate construction domain requirements into robust, production-grade AI solutions.
• Champion code quality, testing, and best practices across the Python codebase.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of professional Python development experience.
• Proven hands-on experience with LLMs and AI agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar).
• Solid understanding and practical experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines.
• Experience building systems that process and analyze large documents (PDFs, unstructured text).
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and working within distributed systems.
• Comfortable working with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Strong fundamentals in software design, testing, and code review.
• At least Intermediate English Proficiency.
