Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend APIs using Node.js and Javascript.
• Craft unit tests to ensure code quality and long-term maintainability.
• Build and manage secure, scalable backend systems on Linux servers.
• Leverage automation tools like Github Actions to streamline workflows for pull request reviews and deployments.
• Collaborate effectively with front-end developers and other engineers to translate requirements into exceptional solutions.
• Optimize backend systems for peak performance and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex backend issues with a keen eye.
• Stay on top of the latest trends and technologies in the JavaScript and Node.js landscape.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience (+5 years)  as a Javascript Backend Developer with a focus on Node.js.
• Experience with Kafka orchestration
• A solid understanding of Javascript best practices and design patterns.
• Experience building and deploying APIs using Node.js frameworks (e.g., Express.js).
• Expertise in unit testing frameworks like Jest or Mocha.
• Hands-on experience working with Linux servers and familiarity with command-line tools.
• Proficiency in Git version control and Github automation using tools like Github Actions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to foster a strong team environment.
• The ability to thrive in both independent and collaborative work settings.
• A burning passion for crafting high-quality, efficient, and highly scalable software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
